Netherlands 2007

David was invited to direct at The Netherlands Opera Festival, in July 2007. The two productions, 'Cavalleria Rusticana' by Mascagni and 'The Impresario' by Mozart, received acclaim from press and public alike: "... A roccoco setting of Mozart's Schauspieldirector directed by David Barrell, full of imaginitive detail and elaboration ... Incredibly funny and enjoyable." Gooi and Eemlander, Netherlands.
